How to close a case with an FCE
Okay... so you have an FCE. Now what?
In order to close any case with an FCE the most important thing to provide is
a job analysis (JA) to each and every referral. The job analysis will provide
specific tolerances required for an individual to safely perform thei job.

But what if the patient gave an INCONSISTENT effort?
Can I still use the FCE report?
Every FCE report distributed by Your Industrial Solution has some level of
value. Even if the patient gives an INCONSISTENT effort, you still have at
least the bare minimum of what they functionally can do. Yes, they can
return to work immediately at these levels. This position may be light or
transitional duty, or the physical capacities may actually meet all of the
requirements to return the individual to their job even though their effort was
INCONSISTENT.

over a copy of the JA and we will create an addendum letter to the FCE
report. Please note comparing an FCE to a JA several months following the
actual FCE may not be accurate. Functional level can easily change (for
better or for worse) over time.
